
Bio
Solange Baqués was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1963. After obtaining a Degree in Political Science and Foreign Affairs, she came back to her passion, photography, which was inherited from her father.
Solange explores identities through memories and family albums. She intends to preserve through images, the stories and places that get lost as time passes. She builds small altars, pictures them and invites the viewer to complete them.
Selected to be part of Yumi Goto's workshop "The photobook as an Object" , gave form to her book "Memoria Imaginaria".
In March 2019, Solange participated of the Residence "Art in Origin" in Spain directed by Andrea Juan, Argentine artist.
Her oeuvre was exhibited in Albi-France, Rome-Italy, Buenos Aires, Tucumán and recently at the Museo de los Inmigrantes in Argentina. She obtained distinctions, had solo and various group exhibitions.
